Comedian Neville Pillay from East Coast radio will keep guests rolling around in their seats and asking for more with his comedy line-up.

Event organizer from MS Society , Vasan Pillay said that “we are blessed to have such great entertainment and support at this event and hopefully it will help to give MS the recognition that it deserves.”

Great prizes and auction items such as an acoustic guitar, book hampers from Exclusive Books and wine hampers will be up for grabs, making this luncheon one that should not be missed.

The day will also be aimed at creating public awareness about Multiple Sclerosis as well as highlighting the society’s goal of building a MS Village for those who need permanent residence and specialised in-house care facilities.

All funds raised will go towards improving the health care of MS patients. Tickets to the luncheon are charged at R380.00 per person. Bookings may be made by contacting Vasan Pillay 083 798 0430, or

ABOUT MS

Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive, degenerative disorder of the central nervous system often diagnosed in people between the ages of 20 and 40 and up to now, the cause is unknown and there is no known ‘cure’ of the disease. Each individual suffering with MS will have a different set of symptoms that range from mobility, fatigue and bladder problems to speech difficulty, visual problems and difficulty with balance and dizziness. Symptoms may come and go but for some they may reappear periodically. Currently, it is said that more than 10 000 people suffer from MS in South Africa. Although the disease is incurable, this does not mean that it is unmanageable. Through reliable information and the correct treatment from health and social care
professionals, MS is treatable.

The majority of MS income is derived from fundraising and donations which makes it possible to support and care for those with MS who cannot care for themselves. The MSKZN Society provides help to those living with the disease in the form of wheel chairs, nappies and other devices.
